CORNERSTONE PHILADELPHIA AFTERCARE (CPA)
Cornerstone’s Philadelphia Aftercare (CPA) program is located in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. CPA provides aftercare services for 50
adjudicated male sex offenders, ages 12-20. Our aftercare is successful
by re-integrating youth back to their communities through the Balanced
and Restorative Justice Approach. Cornerstone’s aftercare emphasizes
community involvement, positive peer relations, accountability and
management of risk for re-offending, case management, and competency
development for the offender in life skills, education, and employment.
This aftercare is based on the philosophy that a continuation of service
provisions, social control and support in the community where success or
failure will ultimately be measured, is essential to maximizing the
potential for long-term positive change and normalization. The aftercare
program begins upon commitment date into a residential treatment
facility or as an alternative to residential treatment placement. The
courts, juvenile probation, and Cornerstone’s Aftercare staff work
together in developing the foundation for the youth’s re-entry into
society. This unique approach enables us to begin building a bridge
toward a fully functional and seamless system. The average length of
aftercare services is 12-18 months. |

CORNERSTONE INTENSIVE SUPERVISION
PROGRAM (CISP)
Cornerstone’s Intensive Supervision Program (CISP) is located in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and offers services for up to 50 youth, both
male and female. CISP is an alternative to detention in a more
restrictive environment such as the Youth Study Center (YSC) or a
Community Based Detention Shelter (CBDS). The program serves court
involved youth, all ages, and all charges. Youth placed on ISP by the
court are assigned a primary case manager who monitors and supervises
the youth in their own community environment to ensure compliance with
the youth’s individualized treatment plan. Youth receive daily face to
face visits and daily collateral contacts from Cornerstone’s ISP staff.
Night mentors monitor youth during the evening hours. Case managers also
assist other members of the family with issues that may contribute to
the instability of the home. CISP is available for male and female
adolescents awaiting adjudicatory hearings as well as those awaiting
final disposition. |
